Rohan Bopanna made history on Tuesday as he qualified for his maiden French Open semi-final, along with his men’s doubles partner Matwe Middelkoop. As Bopanna achieved a historic result at Roland Garros, his friend and fellow Indian tennis player Sania Mirza was jumping with joy.
Mirza, who has played with Bopanna over the years as his doubles partner in various tournaments, said that she felt the 42-year-old has underachieved in his career considering the talent he has.
While there have been talks of Bopanna hanging up his boots soon, Sania was elated to see her good friend making history in the sport.
