WhatsApp is planning to release a “double verification code” feature to enhance the security of user accounts. The feature will add an extra layer of security before logging into a WhatsApp account. WhatsApp is working on this feature for a future update of WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS, reported WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo.
The website also shared a screenshot of the feature. Once it is rolled out, users need an additional verification code to login into another device. The messaging app is working on this feature to protect the accounts of users even if they are tricked by fraudsters to share their six-digit verification code.
