Team India are set to leave for Perth on October 6 for the T20 World Cup. The squad of 15 except Jasprit Bumrah will leave for the Australia a week early to get acclimatised to the conditions they fill encounter Down Under. While the standby players will leave for Perth – where Indian team will have it first camp – a week later as the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi and Deepak Chahar are part of the ODI squad for the South Africa series which ends on October 11.
Along with the main squad players and the standbys, the Men in Blue are set to take four backup options cum net bowlers to Australia for the T20 World Cup. According to a report in Sportstar.
, the left-arm pace duo of Mukesh Choudhary and Chetan Sakariya has been added to the list of bowlers, which already as Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen in the mix. Choudhary, who impressed one and all with his bowling in the powerplay for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022 is currently training in Pune while the other three are involved in the Irani Cup.
