Gold and silver prices edged lower today in the Indian markets, following subdued global trends. Gold futures on MCX were trading marginally lower by Rs 43 or 0.09 per cent at Rs 50,175 per 10 grams. However, Silver futures dropped Rs 110 or 0.18 per cent to Rs 60,668 per kg.
Gold prices were flat on Thursday in the international market, as a steady U.S. dollar and high Treasury yields weighed on greenback-priced bullion, with the metal’s outlook already dampened by an aggressive Federal Reserve stance on inflation.
