Congress is likely to get a Rajya Sabha seat from its alliance with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) in Jharkhand, according to sources.
Two seats of Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand will go to the polls as the tenures of Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Mahesh Poddar are expiring on July 7.
On Saturday, JMM said that it has decided to field its candidate in the upcoming elections of the Upper House. The decision was taken at JMM’s legislative party meeting, a party leader said.
