Britain on Wednesday unveiled another euro one billion of military aid to Ukraine to help in fighting Russian troops. With the new aid, Britain’s total military support to Ukraine rose to euro 2.3 billion since the Russian invasion in February this year.
The military package includes sophisticated air-defence systems and uncrewed aerial vehicles. Innovative new electronic warfare equipment and thousands of pieces of vital kit for Ukrainian soldiers are also part of the military aid. It will allow Ukraine to launch offensives against Russian troops to regain its territory.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of carrying out barbaric attacks in Ukraine as his forces failed to achieve the target. “UK weapons, equipment and training are transforming Ukraine’s defences against this onslaught,” a statement by Downing Street quoted him as saying.
